Scholar Services

At Essence Prep, we are dedicated to ensuring that students of all abilities have access to the resources and support they need to thrive. We continuously assess, adapt, and implement services that create the most inclusive and least restrictive learning environments. By working closely with our families, we strengthen our programs while fostering strong relationships and open communication.

Essence Preparatory Public School: Development

SPECIAL EDUCATION

Special education and general education teachers collaborate to create equitable learning environments, developing strategies and opportunities to support the success of students in special education.

SECTION 504

Essence Prep has established standards and procedures for evaluating and placing students in the Section 504 program. We also follow a system of procedural safeguards that includes providing notice, allowing parents or guardians to review relevant records, offering an impartial hearing with participation from the family and legal representation, and a review process.

For information on support options for a student facing learning challenges or to request an evaluation for special education services, please contact:

Stephanie Magallan, Student Services Coordinator, smagallan@essenceprepsa.org

SPECIAL PROGRAMS

In addition to special education and Section 504 services, Essence Prep offers specialized programs for homeless students, foster care students, bilingual learners, immigrant students, and students with dyslexia.
